Tom Bernett operates a music teaching studio in Southern Pines, Tom Bernett Music is open in downtown Southern Pines in the heart of the arts district.

Consignment Sales

Bernett Music offers consignment sales of drums and other instruments. Commission charged to sellers is a competitive 30% plus expenses. Sales are via Ebay or at the new Southern Pines teaching studio - 234 NW Broad St., Southern Pines.

Tom Bernett - Drummer, Vocalist, Voice-Over Talent

Tom Bernett has five decades of experience as a drummer, a vocalist, an audio & video producer, a live event producer, and a drum instructor. He is known as a quality musician who can play any style, and for his unique ability to play and sing complex drum and vocal parts at the same time.

He has traveled extensively throughout the United States and southern Europe; has backed interrnationally known stars; and his drum students have been accepted at many leading music colleges.

He currently performs with over a dozen different groups in the central North Caroina region, several small jazz groups, a big band, the Carolina MoonDogs (a popular funk-pop variety band), a polka band, and was the leader of a highly regarded contemporary church band in Pinehurst, NC. Ever ready for new experiences, he is alway open to new musical performance opportunities in the Carolinas, Virginia, and throughout the mid-Atlantic region. In addition, he maintains a current passport and is able to accept playing situations that require international travel.

He also has had significant experience as a voice-over talent, as well as a writer and producer of corporate communications, including: industrial product videos; public sector informational and training videos; radio commercials; and other various audio soundtrack projects. His past clients included: IBM; Cold Spring Granite; Network Systems Corporation (now part of Oracle); Multimedia, Inc: The Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board; St. Cloud, MN festival committee; and dozens of radio commercial soundtracks.

As a result of numerous requests for private instruction over the years, Tom operates a music teaching studio where he teaches beginning thru advance adult drums; beginning thru intermediate brass; and chord-style piano to beginners of all ages.
