Vocal Examples:
My vocal range is baritone/bass, about F2 to Eb4. I can sing lead or harmony in several different styles of music. I'm comfortable singing from behind the drums, but I also have experience as a featured vocalist with big bands doing charts from Sinatra, Steve Lawrence, Nat Cole, and more. (If it makes a difference, I also own a small 100-watt PA system with Peavey 112-International series speakers.)
(NOTE: In response to a recent question from a Raleigh musician... Yes, I can sing while I'm playing drums... doesn't everybody?)
Club Date/Top 40 Recordings -- If you're really interested, I've got a bunch of old cassettes recorded back in the road band days that I could pull a lot of vocal examples from. They include some rock and roll, some country hits, some funky stuff, and some ballads. If you really want to hear examples of those styles, call me and I'll put together something specific for your needs. However, the studio recordings below are a better example of my voice.
If you're really interested and can't wait, then you should be aware that the second and third excerpts in the "Club Dates" on the Drum Examples page (Down to the Night Club and I Believe in Music) are me singing while playing drums.
Recent Studio Recordings -- Here are several full-length tracks from a couple personal vocal projects recorded during the past year. These are mostly swing, but some additional styles will follow as I get time and motivation. (For what it's worth, I think When I Fall in Love might just be the best vocal recording I've ever done.)
