Tom's New Solo Act

It started out as a way to do some entertainment at a family event. Then came a senior center. After that, Tom put together a few professional backing tracks to fill in some space between announcing the various routines of the Alive and Clickin' Tap Dance Troupe. The next thing you know, golfing friends are asking him to sing for their holiday luncheon.

And a funny thing happened along the way -- people started asking him if they could hire him for private parties and, voila'... Tom Bernett's solo act became a part of the Bernett Music entertainment business.

Now, more than 200 songs later, Tom's library of professionally produced backing tracks has turned into an entertainment package that can please a wide variety of dancers and music lovers, while still being an extremely affordable option.

New Teaching Studio

After years of wishing to have a teaching studio in Southern Pines, Tom Bernett Music & Drums is now open in downtown Southern Pines in the heart of the arts district.

Come and see the fun new second floor teaching space, located at 234 S.W. Broad Street, above Swank Coffee (just three doors south of the Sunrise Theater box office).

Consignment Sales

Bernett Music offers consignment sales of drums and other instruments. Commission charged to sellers is a competitive 30% plus expenses. Sales are via Ebay or at the new Southern Pines teaching studio - 234 NW Broad St., Southern Pines.

Tom Bernett has four decades of experience as a drummer, a vocalist, an audio & video producer, a live event producer, and a drum instructor. He is known as a quality musician who can play any style, and for his unique ability to play and sing complex drum and vocal parts at the same time.

He has traveled extensively throughout the United States and southern Europe; has backed interrnationally known stars; and his drum students have been accepted at many leading music colleges.

He is alway open to new musical performance opportunities in the Carolinas, Virginia, and throughout the mid-Atlantic region. In addition, he maintains a current passport and is able to accept playing situations that require international travel. He is also currently accepting new students at his teaching studio in downtown Southern Pines, NC.
